LAB OPAL RINGS & JEWELRY

Lab created opal ring with a trillion cut blue topaz handcrafted in sterling silver by Hileman Silver Jewelry. It would make a nice engagement ring or wedding ring! This unique ring is inlaid with 3 pieces of bright blue-green lab created opal. The lab opal has a blue base color with big bold flashes of greens and lighter blues. The trillion (triangle) cut blue topaz weighs 1 carat and looks great with the colors in the lab opal. The blue topaz side of the ring is separated from the opal inlay side by a small open space. This space makes the trillion blue topaz appear to float and also allows the ring size to be adjusted slightly without having to cut the silver. This ring measures approximately 9mm wide at the top with a slight taper toward the bottom. It is available in sizes 5 to 8 on the size menu. Sizes larger tham 8 will be a small additional charge. Please allow 3 to 6 weeks for the ring to be made in your size. This ring style is available in other opal colors or other inlay materials as well as other gemstones in place of the blue topaz. The lab created opal in this ring is a top quality synthetic opal grown in a laboratory. It's chemical composition is the same as natural opal with the exception of water content. Australian opal contains about 4% water and lab created opal contains no water. Instead the water is replaced with resin. The resin gives the synthetic opal more durability and helps to resist cracking. Lab grown opal gives you all the fire and colors of top grade natural opal at a much more affordable price.
